  • A unique training device that is fantastic for learning the difference between force contact to produce speed and friction contact to produce spin.
  • Its handy speedometer makes Spin Wheel practice a lot of fun and serves as a reliable feedback mechanism for analyzing how much energy you’re transferring with your strokes.
  • The faster the wheel rotates, the more spin you are can generate with that stroke.
  • Works with virtually any friction stroke, like loops, chops, and serves. Spin Wheel is adjustable for many different angles so it works correctly for topspin, backspin, and even sidespin contacts.
  • Coaches especially like this training tool as it is perhaps one of the easiest ways to teach friction contact, which is often unfamiliar to and/or used incorrectly by many beginner to intermediate players.
  • Spin Wheel quickly helps engrain proper stroke technique into muscle memory, encourages proper progression of energy transfer from one muscle group to the next, and discourages excess and unnecessary motions that subtract from maximum energy transfer.
  • Check out the demonstration video in the Videos tab.

Testimonial from the Montreal Prestige Table Tennis Club:

We use the wheel with two types of players—beginner/intermediate and advanced.

For beginner/intermediate players:

- Initiation: Initiate young players to topspin; help them understand and experience what it means to "spin the ball", rather than "hit the ball".

- Motivation: Speed and acceleration contest between the different youth players, but also with more advanced players and even the coaches.

For advanced players, we use it to achieve different goals:

- Motivation: Speed and acceleration contest between different players. It may even be used within training to test a player's strokes or serves.

- Technique: Relaxation of the body and use of all joints in the correct order to get more speed and acceleration in the forehand topspin, for example.

- Understanding spins and trajectories: By turning the wheel on the side, we improve the understanding how to touch the ball for maximum sidespin.

- Focus: Demonstrate to advanced players that the topspin ball will always turn faster than the backspin ball of an individual player.
