It takes time to assemble a custom racket. First you have to get a blade, 2 sheets of rubber, some glue, and scissors or a razor knife. Then you glue the rubber and the blade, let the glue dry, roll the rubber onto the blade, cut the rubber to fit the blade, then flip the blade over and repeat on the opposite side. That's a lot of trouble to just get a ping pong paddle. Many players, especially beginners and novices, prefer to simply get a quality pre-made paddle like this Andro R2P, that comes with rubber professionally applied and to boot, is nicely finished with matching side tape.
